Continue to read your reading book every day.
Spend at least 15 minutes per day on Times Tables Rockstars.
English
As part of our Africa topic research an African animal and write fact file about it.
Remember to include: a title, sub-headings, bullet points and captions for any pictures that you print or draw.
Try to use a variety of punctuation ; : ( ) , ! ? –
It needs to be written not typed so remember to show me your neatest handwriting.
Complete a page a week in your spelling book and mark yourself (answers are in the back of the book)
Continue to learn the spellings on the year 5/6 spelling list. Maybe you could ask an adult to test you.
Maths
Complete 3 arithmetic tests a week. Maybe you can ask an adult to mark them for you.
Log onto Espresso and complete some maths activities.
Complete a page a week in your maths books.
Log onto the Woodlands Junior school website and under the resources tab you will find all of the different subjects. Click onto maths/numeracy and you can have a go at some of the games and activities.

This is also a good website to practise your maths skills. I especially like the hit the button game for times tables.
